ANGRY INDIAN WOMAN: THE TRIAL (An Audio Drama)

In a surrealist courtroom, an Indian woman sues her former employer for wrongfully dismissing her because of her race. But was this a case of systemic racism in the workplace and biased employment practices or is there more at stake? How does one confront racial trauma while activating change? 

Angry Indian Woman - The Trial unpacks these difficult but necessary questions for an ethnically diverse world that needs to talk about how race impacts our daily lives. Written by Aswani Aswath, this radio drama continues the Goddesses of Words series created by Grace Kalaiselvi, that explores the relationship between the Indian female body and text.
