CNA 93.8fm Radio Interview

​It was an honour to have been one of the two students representing Lasalle at a recent interview with CNA 93.8FM. We had an exciting conversation with host Susan Ng where we shared about our involvement in ARTWALK Little India, which is organised by Lasalle and Singapore Tourism Board as part of Singapore Art Week 2020. This year's theme is 'Art is Everywhere' and Susan asked listeners to consider how art can be seen in the everyday.

As one of the playwrights for a pop-up theatre show "Three Courses" that will be performed in restaurants Meat Smith and Chimichanga, I shared about how site-specific works break free from the conventional blackbox setting and push artists to experiment with spaces and discover stories in them. These immersive works also challenge audiences to be active engagers to a piece of art as opposed to being passive consumers. The mingling of food and theatre in this particular production prompted me to draw inspiration from dining table conversations, which are otherwise considered “mundane”. Art is truly in everything and everywhere, and I look forward to exploring this further at the festival.
